Some pictures FINALLY!
Ok my knitting friends! I finally managed to take some pictures of whatever knitted items I still have or are working on and load them onto my computer.
Here is the first knitted piece I ever made. This is with Lamb's Pride Bulky in Prairie Fire. While this yarn is very easy to work with and makes a nice-looking finished product, it is super itchy against your neck and face :-(. This scarf is very long, something like 72 inches.

I've been practicing. And I have photos! The first is a 20x20 template, just knitting.
I'm working on another one that's knitting and purling, but I haven't finished it yet.
But in the meantime, I started working on my first scarf!
Isn't it perty? It's Lion Brand Landscapes Yarn Deep Sea, 13 mm aluminum needles. I'm going to need tips on how to join the next ball of yarn to the one I'm working with now. And how to finish it off when I'm done!

Angry May Queen's knitting treatise
I want to go on vacation for a month so I can get busy on all my knitting projects. Not to mention all the yarn I have sitting in reserve for random projects that are still in the development process in my head. And I just wish I remembered to take pictures of all the stuff I've already made before I gave them all away as presents. I only have about 2 things that I kept for myself. LAME.
So far I've made:
My first piece of knitting ever; a scarf with Lamb's Pride Bulky, in prairie fire
. This I kept (picture coming soon). I love the color and the look of this scarf. BUT it's super itchy. :-(
A scarf with Jo-Ann Sensations Willow, in green
. This yarn looks way better on the skein than it does in the finished product. It was very difficult to work with, too. I kept this one, too. I get a lot of compliments on it, oddly enough. But if I had to do it over again, I'd make it a little wider. (picture coming soon).
A scarf and hat set for my little sister (Donna) with Patons Carmen, in rose
. This was my very first hat. It came really well for a first try. My sister LOVES them. This yarn is so incredibly soft. It's really beautiful. I bought some more of this yarn in camel (this color is gorgeous) and might make a scarf and hat for myself or maybe to sell? (That is, if Nicole and I ever get our "business" off the ground!)( The treatise continues...Collapse ) Current Mood: chipper
